Graduate Student Parking Options for the University Boulevard Deck

1) For graduate trainees who pay to park in the UAB system but not in the University Blvd deck and who have a magnetic parking card, our office will program the University Blvd deck to allow them to use that card to access the deck after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and on weekends.  They must leave before 6:00 a.m. on weekdays in order to avoid a charge.

2) If they do not have a magnetic card for the lot they park in, then the our office will provide them with a card for the nighttime and weekend use of the University Blvd deck.  The cost of this card is $10.

3) For graduate or medical/MSTP students who do not pay to use a UAB lot during the daytime, our office will offer them a discounted parking card to access the University Blvd deck after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and all weekend.  The cost for this card will be $13/month, $85/semester, or $160/academic year.  To avoid extra charges, students using this card will need to be out of the deck by 6:00 a.m. on weekdays.

4) Trainees also have access to the UAB Escort Service (5pm – dawn) and Campus Ride http://www.parking.uab.edu/escort.asp .
